Michelle Harris

Hello, my name is Michelle Harris (previously Bennett); I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, accredited with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP). Following completion of my Undergraduate Psychology degree and Postgraduate degree in Mental Health in Primary Care, I went on to train at Royal Holloway in order to obtain my Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

I have been working with people experiencing emotional difficulties for over 17 years, focusing on people experiencing anxiety and depression and including those who have learning difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

I thoroughly enjoy getting to know people and working together to help improve their quality of life. I frequently attend training events in order to ensure that I can provide the best help possible. Most recently I have attended training in working with people with Long-Term Health Conditions such as Chronic Pain; this training included working with third wave CBT models such as Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT) and Compassionate Focused Therapy. I also have vast experience of supervising other CBT therapists.
