About CBT-Herts

DSC00718Hello, thank you for taking the time to look at my website. My name is Michelle Harris (previously Bennett) and I have been working with people experiencing emotional difficulties for over 17 years. I started CBT-Herts 5 years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting many new people and helping them with the difficulties they have faced. I have recently started working alongside a colleague, Prosper Ndayi, who I also supervise. This therefore means that CBT-Herts can now offer a male or female therapist depending on your preference.

We are based in St Albans, Markyate and Hemel Hempstead and offer CBT on a private basis to help with a range of emotional, behavioural and psychological difficulties, including:

  • Anger
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Long-Term Health Conditions
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Pain Management
  • Panic
  • Phobias
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Self-Esteem
  • Sleep Disorders
  • Social Anxiety
  • Somatoform Disorders / Health Anxiety
  • Stress Management

If your concern is not listed, please feel free to contact us to discuss whether we would be able to help. If we cannot help, we would aim to signpost you elsewhere to receive the help and support that would be most helpful for you.

We work with adults with no upper age limit and can offer home visits or sessions outside of the therapy room to help people to face fearful and anxiety provoking situations. We are registered with a range of insurance companies, including AXA PPP Healthcare, Aviva, and Cigna.

Sessions are focused on working towards your own personal goals in order to help manage the difficulties you are experiencing and to help improve your quality of life.

We look forward to hearing from you via the contact page on this website, by email on michelle@cbt-herts.co.uk or you can call 07938175178 to discuss how we can help you to feel better.
